Math Based Rendering

Three volumes of scenes built from equations alone and rendered live in WebGL 2: twelve parametric specimens, nine implicit worlds, then six islands and six orbital systems.

3 labs. Start with The Form Atlas.

The Form Atlas

Explore twelve creatures and forms built from equations, in a WebGL 2 gallery: sponges with real cavities, a winged dragon, a sea star, a Fibonacci-spined urchin, a jellyfish, a hydra, an anemone, a perforated diatom, a radiolarian cage, branching coral and a logarithmic shell. Every slider rebuilds the geometry, each form opens its construction equations, and a cutaway plane and wireframe show how it is made. Runs offline.

Shores & Systems

Fly through twelve environments built from equations: six island morphologies (atoll, caldera, fjords, estuary, basalt terraces and crescent shoals) shaped by Gaussian envelopes and channel masks, and six fictional planetary systems on Keplerian orbits, from a coplanar clockwork to a barycentric binary and the moons of a ringed giant. Live sliders, equation panels, seeds, free flight and local exports. Runs offline.

World Foundry

Orbit or fly through nine worlds drawn entirely by GPU shaders, with no meshes or textures: a tidal archipelago, a porous abyssal garden, a gyroid cathedral, prismatic crystal vaults, dunes with an observatory ring, a mycelium moon, a Mandelbulb monument, an orbital orchard and a recursive Menger citadel. Change a world law and the surface updates without rebuilding; read each world's equations and save a recipe that reproduces the view. Runs offline.
